All I want from a Switch 2 is more power, backwards compatibility with the old Switch and analog trigger buttons on the new joy-cons.

Id be happy with the ability to apply a damn wallpaper and actually customize my home screen lol

Hopefully the Switch 2 will have better internal hardware inside the joy cons. I've spend way too much money replacing the joy cons.

Backwards compatibility is an absolute must if I'm getting this, I think they know it's a huge selling point

as somebody whom fixes screens this is excellant news as lcd screens are like 75% cheaper to replace generally

The launch titles of the Switch 2 determines if the system will sell well. Depite the Switch being like 7 years old, it's STILL a good console that can last longer. If anyone wants to play a game with high fidelity graphics they can go to their PS5 or PC.

the problem with your comparisons is that they're insanely bad. The switch was 300 dollars brand new, the iPhone 15 pro IS 1100 dollars new. The switch is almost 8 years old now, the iPhone is brand new.

As a very casual gamer I'll think I'll stick to my plan of getting the OLED in September. I worry about the problems that accompany new release devices 😅

sounds like a marketing strat if they release it with LCD, then follow it up with an OLED to get more sales.

I get comparing the iphone 15 to the switch to show the advance in tech, but the iphone also costs over 1k so don't go too crazy on the comparisons.

The fact that the switch could’ve lasted a good 14 years if they fixed the joycon drift issue before launch and gave the switch way more power to be future proof

I like to see a larger variety of games on the switch 2

I RARELY play my switch in docked mode, so I'll be holding out buying one until I find out how good it is or isn't. The whole point to one for me was the portability, since I always have an hour or more downtime after work before I can go home. It's small enough to fit in my purse and light enough I rarely notice it there until I want to play.

I have oled which only got 15hrs playtime since day 1. I admit kinda play lots of games but mu gripe UI kinda laggy especially browsing eshop. I badly want better hardware.

No OLED panel AND no built in fan? Bruh

Why do people keep comparing the Switch to iPhone... one is $300 and the other is $1000

To be honest a more powerful switch with redesigned joy cons will be much appreciated. I'd also love to have a dock that gives the switch even more power with a dedicated graphics acceleration unit for example. It is definitely possible with current hardware and technologies and could reduce the initial cost of the switch while also boosting it's performance when needed/wanted in docked mode.

Tried my best to like the original Joycons but it's full of problems. drifting, lags, and desynch. bigger joy con with all issue 0:01 resolved and dpad also is must

If this is legit going to have backwards compatibility with physical Switch games it is well worth the upgrade.

I knew from the getgo never to bother with the Switch's joycons. I bought a PowerANano when I bought the Switch. My joycons are still in amazing shape, and unused. I saw the trap of people repairing them, and figured.. nah. So, the joycons just remain in the Switch's box... forever tucked away.
