In today’s driving lesson with Erin we started on dual carriageways and slip roads, how to enter and exit safely. Changing lanes on the carriageway as well as maintaining your speed to keep up with traffic.
The main objective today was to be able to slow down from 30mph and gear down leading up to junctions.
Erin made great progress in todays lesson.

Erin’s come a long way from driving lesson one. Everything seems much for fluid. Credit to Aman as well. Every learners dream instructor 😄

Wish I had you as my driving instructor - mine just spent 90% of his time on his phone! Only information he'd give was directions! Still passed after 15 hours thanks to YouTube, lol.

Erin has some social anxiety, that coupled with driving, and having to take in instructions and information from Aman can't be easy, but she does it brilliantly. She's such a serene person, with an amazing attitude.

Erin's journey has been super useful to follow, I've just recently completed an intense driving course (around 30 hours in 6 days) but as we're moving through the topics so fast, I haven't had much time to practice everything. In particular, I had struggled with when to gear change down as you don't have those same audio cues so it was more important to be aware of which speed for which gears. I had moved on to slip roads on to national speed limit dual carriageways as well as tackling roundabouts but as my approach was always lagging behind, I couldn't get the thinking time to think "how am I going to tackle this roundabout" and so just struggled a bit - sorting out the basics around clutch control, gear changes and speed management helped massively with the rest of it.

As a bus driver I love watching these for entertainment purposes plus I've actually learned plenty of stuff from you

Wow Erin and Aman!
What an action packed video! Taking my driving lesson many years ago in London on the A406 I cannot recall travelling at speeds close to 70 mph! Aman seems to have stepped up the pace in offering practical driving advice in readiness for busy roads and prompting Erin to think and drive more independently. Anyway well done both of you and looking forward to seeing more clips on driving

I’m so jealous to see her taking lessons with this driving instructor, my driving instructor not friendly at all, he is very strict. Always shouting at me whenever I make a small mistake 😂😂

A lot of that was very good Erin, you're doing really well. But if I could offer a wee tip, don't be afraid to apply the brake without putting the clutch down, get the car at the speed you want and then put the clutch down and select the matching gear. As you get more confident and do more driving, it will all come naturally.

Amazing seeing Erin on 70mph roads! Here in Australia as a learner, i think the most we were allowed to do was 80km/h and i dont think i went on 100km/h highways till i was on my P's 😅

Someone needs to make a supercut of every time Aman says "oooh"

I used to be awful at getting my foot down so my instructor scared the hell out of me by taking me down the motorway! It worked though since my logic went to 'If I can do 70 down the motorway overtaking lorries I can do 50 down a dual carriageway'

Erin is getting better with her driving, she just need to be more confident, relaxed and not nervous. She needs to be more independent, If she’s not sure she needs to ask u Amen for help. She needs to be more. Slip roads and dual carriageways she needs to speed up more. But well done Erin.
