I had an axolotyl that was very sociable. When I got home from work it would come to the top of the tank to greet me. It loved to be petted and to play. One of my greatest pet experiences EVER!! 🧡🍂🍄‍🟫🎃👻

They can also sometimes do a thing called 'morphing' where they lose their gills and webbed feet and essentially become land creatures due to ancestral genes, it's very rare but can still happen

When my ex surrendered the axolotls to me, my leucistic barely for 3 months even when I tried to do the tug of war with the worms that he liked to do with my ex.
Little buddy came around eventually after I put his son in with him and I occasionally find them in cuddle puddles around the tank. They can be sociable, just dependent on their personality. I suspect they may have some sort of emotional capacity too.

I have a axolotl her name is Billy she has the biggest personality ever we dance we kiss through the tank she throws tantrums when you don't give her what she wants for breakfast and she knows how to hi five so don't anyone tell me they don't love your just not treating yours right 🤔
