Will Marty and Mr. Puzzles team up? - SMG4 Theory

In the latest SMG4 episode, We Must Kill Mario, Marty suddenly returns and is an antagonist once again, seeking revenge against Mario, similar to what Mr Puzzles desires following the events of A Night At SMG4's... Could this be the beginning of the wotfi 2024 arc, which could see Marty and Mr Puzzles teaming up?

Hey all, No Null here. So after another underwhelming and confusing return of mr puzzles in a stand alone, non canon episode of puzzlevision, something very interesting and neat has finally happened in the smg4 series. We’ve had the sudden return of Marty after almost a year since his last proper appearance in wotfi 2023, where he served as the main antagonist. And not just that, but he returned as an antagonist once again who is set to return by the looks of things, and we even got an annoying lore inconsistency/loose plot point from last year resolved as a cherry on top.

So firstly, in a nice flashback to after the events of wotfi 2023, we see how mario escaped from prison, explaining how he was present for the super smg4 wonder episode that released right after wotfi 2023, while also explaining why marty disappeared from the series for a while, as he remained in prison. However, we do know that he had escaped prison quite a while ago, as we saw that he had a new aeroplane business in the plane trip episode that was released shortly before the meme factory mini arc began. We also see that he was able to start this weird spaghetti cult, so he has been very busy building up resources since he escaped prison. In fact. He’s become an outright villain since escaping prison, being described as a fucking terrorist by Karen’s boss LMAO.

In wotfi 2023, marty’s motivation was simply that he was an ambitious businessman, and he wanted to steal smg3’s pizza recipe in hopes of generating more profit from his pizza stand. But interestingly, his motivation has now changed rather drastically, as he is now outright evil and is seeking revenge against mario for abandoning him, as well as desiring to put everyone else through the pain he felt from being abandoned by his best friend. In today’s episode, he sought revenge through poisoning a ton of people, including karen’s children, using mario’s beloved spaghetti as a way to get back at mario, since we all know mario loves spaghetti, enough so to abandon marty in prison. But ultimately he was defeated, and we were left with a cliffhanger ending as marty escaped and swore to return.

So what does Marty's return mean, and what may it lead to? Well it's clear that something major will probably be happening with marty, as they went through the effort of re-establishing his character, such as by recapping the events of wotfi 2023. They even gave him a voice using a speech device reminiscent of Stephen Hawking’s speech device lol. Since we’re in the latter half of the year now, it’s very likely that this new plot thread involving marty will conclude with wotfi 2024. But this is the interesting part. Mr Puzzles’ plot thread is also still unresolved, and as i’ve previously theorised, I believe this will also be concluded with wotfi 2024. In this previous video of mine, I suggested that mr puzzles will be motivated primarily by a desire for revenge against mario and the smg4 cast in his next plot. And guess who else now also seeks revenge against mario and the smg4 cast? And remember what else I said in that previous video? I came up with an idea where mr puzzles gathers up a group of other previously defeated smg4 villains and minor antagonists to work with him in a future wotfi 2024 arc, and i specifically mentioned including marty in this group. Could I have actually predicted the premise of the wotfi 2024 arc? I guess we’ll have to wait and see if any other antagonists return in future episodes, such as lawyer kong, wheeler, depresso and ztar. Either way, it seems likely that marty and mr puzzles will be working together for wotfi 2024, though this time they’d likely be partners on equal footing, rather than marty being a puppet of mr puzzles’ plan like in wotfi 2023.

I’d like to conclude this video by discussing how much I really appreciate today’s episode. It is by far one of my favourite episodes released this year. It is an episode focused on a more minor character, we get some nice character interactions that aren’t all too common, we get to see more screen time for lesser used side characters, and it expanded on previously unresolved plot threads and questions as well as establishing some new lore about karen. This was just a really good episode and it has kind of rescued my interest and confidence in the series, which has admittedly been waning since the meme factory arc. I hope they keep up what they did with this episode. Perhaps they could bring back Lui, since they did go through the trouble of solving a year old lore question that I was sure would never be resolved. Anyway, bye.

My Theory
When Marty failed Mr. Puzzles broke ties with him as he lost everything
Also Meggy not being in the episode and Kids watching puzzle vision, so SMG4 inside out might be cannon (Hopefully)
So might be a part of Puzzle vision arc is swinging

Marty Betrayed Mario because of him exiting the cage from his prison which led to Mario knock in off and then give revenge against Mario.
Mr. PUZZLES Captured Meggy In The Inside out Episode because Mario turned back her into her normal self, leading him to kidnap her inside the Emotion control while the others escaped offscreen.
Both of the Two will get Revenge against Meggy, Mario and The others...
And What about Peach after her being unsealed and forgotten for months that turned her into a Feral Beast???
It's likely that will have a Episode about her escaping the Malice Cave.
Both of her Fury will transfer to The smg4's gang and Peach will likely appear in the Mysterious Boarded Up Door doing some Unnerving strange roaring noises.
While the others escaped from her Grasp, she captured SMG4 and them Climbed In The Showgrounds Tower.
The others appear desperate and they will try to call for help by calling Toad and Peach's friends (Pauline, Rosalina, Stacy and Daisy) to save smg4 from her grasp and Return Peach back to normal to destroy Mr. PUZZLES And Marty.

They both have in common to revenge Mario for Mr puzzles for taking his only friend and also ruined his plans for making him popular with tv shows while Marty abonding him in the prison last year maybe they team up in behind the scenes

Another thing is that both Mr Puzzles and Marty want revenge against Mario, so its very likely that both will meet each other, realise that both are after Mario and so will join forces.

And even maybe gain a bigger group of people...

Like for example Mr Puzzles may get Leggy back, say like he may kidnap Meggy so that he can scare her to a point where she turns into Leggy and she'll obviously rejoin Mr Puzzles and Marty along.

I'd rather this not be the case. Besides: it was Mister Puzzles who initially informed Marty about the secret pizza recipe in SMG3's notebook. So when acquiring that didn't work out, they'd most likely have written one another off.
If this is leading to a "War of the Fat Italians" event between Mario and Marty (which actually sounds somewhat interesting, as SMG4 doesn't cut it anymore), MAYBE Mister Puzzles could act as the emcee? But then again... he was the one who instigated last year's event, so it might be a role better suited for 4 now, especially since X is likely never to come back.

I believe that Mr. Puzzles' used the Inside Out parody to abduct Meggy(since her Leggy form is the only friend he has ever truly had and he seemed enraged at Mario for taking that from him). I believe that he was the one who helped Marty to escape and destroy Mario since they both want revenge on him(For abandoning Marty and taking Leggy from Puzzles). Since Marty failed at destroying Mario, Karen and SMG4, I have a feeling that Puzzles' will bring in someone else with a grudge against Mario, maybe the now demonic Peach?

I think Mr puzzles is the one who freed Marty from prison... I have a feeling Mr puzzles is gonna team up with more people (or antagonists from the past) than only Marty and maybe Lui will appear just to stop his brother Marty but it's just a theory of mine

This episode was amazing and gave so much theory material, both for what’s to come and a certain theory I’m cooking up about Mario’s involvement in Karen’s family… not subtle, huh?

A prediction I had with Marty came true where he would try to frame Mario just like in Mario sunshine with bowser jr. I could also see Lui do this and see both cardboard brothers come to life and start to frame Mario and Luigi more often and team up with Mr puzzles and one shot wren. I also believe Mr puzzles is the true culprit behind the poisoned spaghetti so he could lure Mario and kill him as he hates Mario the most and wants the plumber to be dead. I would also love to see one shot wren return since I don’t think he’s dead and also malice beast peach. The goop that caused a chasm and destroyed peach’s castle should be apart of mr puzzles serious and dark form. Characters I’d love to see in the next WOTFI as side or main characters is the Mario clones and the first 2 SMGs. I know I keep begging for this to happen but I really want them to explain a connection to Kevin’s school (the game Saiko and Kaizo came from) and puzzle vision as that game seems corrupted or a failed experiment

There's also a chance that Mr. Puzzles could bring in the now demonic Peach to try and destroy Mario as well, as while her grudge more than likely would be on SMG4, Mario still caused her a lot of grief over the entire SMG4 series so it would only make sense that in her isolation she would start harboring malice towards Mario as well, viewing him as the sole reason things snowballed into her losing her castle in the first place.

This could also be the perfect excuse to set up the breadcrumbs for the potential of the Mushroom Kingdom becoming something else, often theorized as the Melon Kingdom with Melony in charge, due to the ever-increasing move away from Nintendo and other Third Party Owned stuff from the main channel and it has been a long-standing theory in the community for some time now because of these changes.

Something tells me that it’s going to be old Puzzlevision Saga villains, but unless Wren survived that building collapsing i don’t think anyone other than Marty will be joining from that group of villains
