There is depth in legends and books. And also the clone wars did make him better. I accept your opinion but I disagree

You should look up the character history it's actually insane

Bro you should look into his backstory he has a lot of depth. He hates Jedi bc palpatine & dooku convinced him that the Jedi attacked him and took his arms and legs when it was really them and they used him like a weapon. He used to be a well liked warrior to his people and was very religious but the sith took all of that away from him and killed his wife.

I understand where your coming from but I disagree with this idea and I’m not gonna go into deep lore, comics, books, and other legends or cannon secrets, in my opinion the whole point of Grievous’ character throughout the clone wars and especially in revenge of the sith is that he’s not important. The point of grievous is misdirection. The Jedi think he’s important to the war, but he really has nothing to do with it. It shows how we get caught up in unimportant things that seem intimidating to us but that our true problems are always ignored/unidentified. If you think about it like this, Obi wan is sent to go after grievous because he seems to be a threat, which is the entire reason why Obi wan and the jedi failed Anakin. They are too focused on things that have nothing to do with their actual problems(like being hard-focused on politics over their original ideals). In fact if you think about it like this, if they just forgot about Grievous, leaving obi wan around, then he would be able to positively influence Anakin.

I see you don't know star wars, Greivous was rejected by the Jedi because they saw hate and fear in him. He got so pissed because he wanted to be a Jedi so bad that he started to replace his body parts with droid parts to be better than before. He got obsessed with the droid parts and he replaced all but his eyes and heart. His motivation is revenge on the Jedi. That's why he hunts them down and takes their lightsabers

I get that the sequels got flak for killing off Phasma and Snoke without doing a lot to flesh them out and just being there to be disposable bad guys, but I feel that the prequels were worse with that, considering how Maul, Dooku, Jango and Grievous all get a smidgen of screen time and unceremoniously pinged off.

It seems that you lack his back story or anything in the clone wars.

He still a way better secondary antagonist than captain Phasma and is more devlopped than Bobba Fett in the original trilogy (even if I know that mystery is part of the appeal of this character), he also represent part of what Anakin would became

Greivous is a walking toy commercial, but he's still a better character than Annie.

General grievous is a great character I like how he is a fallen Warrior and lost he’s love one and he was use by the Sith Lord and also what I like about him that he loses a battle he always run way I also like that he always collect fallen Jedi lightsaber.

I agree...he is the worst. I'm never going to watch the animated shows - life is too short for that. So there is no chance for General Grievous to grow beyond what little I know of him. And what I know of him, doesn't make me want to find out any more.

Wow, I hated this video. If you think Grievous has no personality or depth then you need to look up his original backstory. True they didn't include any of those details in the film, which is a mark against the film itself, but not the character.

There are some one dimensional villians that are done in a good way and Grevious is one of them for me and many fans as well. If anyone, Sy Snoodles is my single least favorite character in SW. She's passable in the theatrical ROTJ but I absolutely can't stand her awful ass close-up shots in the special editions. Nor her terrible ass romance with Ziro the Hutt in TCW.
