Can't fall asleep because of your anxiety? Today we talk about anxiety insomnia symptoms, my experience, and some tips to help you with anxiety related insomnia! I struggled with sleeping, falling alseep, waking up, nocturnal panic attacks, night terrors, and nightmares for years! It was really bad when I was going through my cardiophobia and heart anxiety! I had panic disorder as well so I would have panic attacks multiple times per day. At night I would really focus on my health anxiety symptoms. There wasn't much distraction, I wasn't at work, I didn't have anybody to talk to. I was alone. This would also fuel my anxiety symptoms and panic attacks.

So how do we overcome anxiety or beat anxiety disorder? These are tips that you should be trying every single day to stop your anxiety! Dont skip any days and remember that there will still be bad days. Its how we handle the bad days, that determines how we progress in our mental health. First, discover and work on your root causes of anxiety! Practice gratitude everyday! Everyone has something to be thankful for! Make sure you are exercising daily, eating healthy, keeping a journal, taking a multivitamin, practicing meditation in the mornings and evenings, practicing cbt, keep counseling or therapy as an option, watch positive affirmation and asmr videos, join online support groups, and most importantly do this everyday and dont give up! Had a hypnic jerk at 2:30am trying to sleep, woke me instantly, jumped up heart racing, chest pain. Random pains since then. Its 4:45am sitting in darkness wishing i could sleep.. Cant deal. Your videos are my go to to remember its just anxiety. Hope i sleep soon. Hate this mentality.

One time I stood up for 3 nights. I have gotten a lot better and I no longer have insomnia. Anxiety is still present but I’m in the recovery stage

I’m experiencing EVERYTHING you mention in this video. I was super busy today and felt better than I ever had in recent weeks. But as soon as bedtime started nearing, I started getting chest pains. then my son stopped by unexpectedly to check on me and spent a half hour so with me. He kissed and hugged me and we joked and laughed and I almost felt like myself. But as soon as he left it was time to brush my teeth and wash up for bed and the chest pains came back. I just had a doctor visit yesterday and learned my BP was back to normal(I’ve been in the normal range my whole life until a month ago when I had a severe panic attack and went to ER-thought I was dying). I also saw a cardiologist who confirmed my heart was fine, but the chest pains scare me anyway. I’ve had insomnia for a few months now. I also experienced eye inflammation a couple months ago so of course I convinced myself I was going blind or my eyeball was falling out. So now I’m up and I’m staying up until I can sleep instead of obsessing about not sleeping, hoping this will ease my anxiety. I gave up soda and sugar over ten years ago but ive recently given up coffee, I walk daily, take vitamins and drink valerian root or chamomile tea as needed and eat a nutritionally sound diet. I do see a therapist as well. I’m not through this but I’m getting there one day at a time. anyone who is suffering I wish you the absolute best and a healthy recovery.

Sitting in the parking lot at the ER was literally all did my first week I started getting anxiety attacks 😢 my mom and uncle would go with me and show lots of support 🙏🏻❤

Symptoms focus when it's quiet. Oh my god that's very true. When it's dark and im alone and awake I will listen to my body unintentionally. It's really hard. All these ectopics feels like I'm having a heart attack eveey night. It's so hard Trey. Thanks to your videos I can releate to someone.

The more we worry about going to sleep rhe harder it is. I feel oke im dying as soon ss ai doze off. My hearys dropping and literally 'feel" terror like death

7:11 am and I don’t think I’ve been to sleep . My bp and sugar is fine but I feel so uneasy and weak and faint, just feel fading mentally

I can’t really sleep at night. When I finally go to see. I’m back up 5:00 in the morning until it’s time for me to go to bed later that night. I be so Tired all day long.

Bro this sucks I need HELP. I feel like I'm dying every night. Then during the day it all goes away and I function normally but am so out of it from exhaustion. I have started seeing a therapist and it's done nothing. He is talking over my troubled upbringing etc, but I really feel like this is some chemical problem. I am contemplating getting on Lexapro or SSRI. I just don't want to be conscious anymore. 3 years sober from alcohol and have HATED every day of it. I need my medicine back. To turn my brain off. Sure my life has stabilised but the price is I feel like a walking vile of cortisol. It's currently 2:33am and today I was so tired but yet, here we are. I'm wired again for no damn reason. Thanks for the vid bro. It feels good to know I am not alone in dealing with this terror. I too dread the nights and also the weekends when I know I don't have to work. I am a workaholic simply because I feel safe when I have something to do. But the downside is, I am burning myself out.

Great videos as usual. Im 52 and have experiencing insomnia for 2 years.can fall asleep at 1045pm but wake up after 4 hours and can't get back to sleep
So frustrating and depressing. I do suffer from anxiety, but not worried about things when I sleep, which makes it me wonder why this is happening?
I practice good sleep hygiene, but nothing works not even prescription sleep meds.
So frustrating

Currently feeling ill, & when I feel poorly I spiral as have Health anxiety. Made myself come to bed early so I feel better god willing for work tomorrow, got in bed before 10am, it’s now after 1am and still wide awake. 😩 need to be up in 4 hours, now I’m checking my temp as don’t feel good 😩😩

Whenever I think I might have a temperature I freak out & convince myself I will end up in hospital… this is ridiculous

This anticipatory anxiety makes sense! Anxiety would often strike late afternoon/early evening and I would expect it! Working on trying to stop that ☹️
