Were you using CarPlay or Android auto to text message? My phone works ok but I cant get test messaging to work. I have an android and want to use text messaging without using android auto....is that possible?

tactile sense beats touchscreen and voice commands all day everyday once you get used to the knob and buttons.
Some stuff just works better the old ways.
