Thanks some of you for pointing out my error on the Brexit. Market speculation caused the British pound fall after the referendum so Apple had to raise their price in Pounds. That being said, MacBook Pro prices are still universally raised, even in the US.

The biggest problem with Macbook Pro is the whole "Pro" thing. There is nothing pro about a PC with a 2 GHz dual core processor, 500 GB SSD and 8 GB of RAM for 1300 USD. That price is beyond ridiculous.
And let's not forget the "over 9000" adapters a professional will need to make the damn thing work. You want to use a mouse, no problem, you just need a USB-A adapter, just 9 USD at Apple.com. Do you need to access a NAS at work? You might need an Ethernet connection, fortunately Apple's got you covered, for just 26 USD. Or how about a "AV multiport adapter"? Just 49 USD.
Fucking joke.

I totally agree that Apple as lost their magic, however I don't think that a laptop needs a touchscreen. Thats just me

Apple have completely lost me. I used to be a massive Apple fanboy and have owned an iPhone 5 and still own a 2011 MacBook Pro. But with these new iPhones and MacBooks that are riddled with compromises and are wayyy overprices, I have completely lost interest in the company. My iPhone 5 has been replaces by a Galaxy s7 and my MacBook Pro will eventually be replaced by a Dell XPS 13

Their new $300 picture book says a lot about Apple's greed. Steve Jobs would be disappointed.

I'm one of those loyal Apple consumers that's feed up... Honestly thinking about going back to PC considering they have updated their professional computers in forever! Apple products use to be exciting... now they're boring :'(

i think whats happening is apple is becoming real money hungry by not including these ports for their devices and so people have to buy more adapters which means more royalties to apple not hating but apple have really gone downhill

Sadly, I think so. At one point, when Steve was still around, they were true innovators. I used to be a diehard Apple fan, but recently things have changed. They keep regurgitating the same shit over and over, and it's getting old. They aren't listening to people's opinion, what people really want. Steve Jobs really knew what people wanted in a product and played things right, but it just went downhill after his passing. It seems like Microsoft has taken their place, I'm a PC guy now. Can't imagine what Steve would think about Apple now, how bland and uninspiring their products and software have become. Apple fans, like I was at one point, will begin to leave the crowd when they realize other products exist on the market are far better. I do believe we're witnessing the beginning of the end for them.
