Had no idea for years how to work it, googled it and thought looks easy enough but would never remember it all when go hiking/camping etc. This time typed up notes and saved into my phone. Notes below if anyone else wants to copy;

Turn on with main button on top, battery level indicator next to main lamp (green 50%-100%, yellow 25%-50% and red is below 25%)
Once turned on can adjust brightness by holding down main button, let go when desired brightness is reached. Can also tap side button to go directly to max brightness.
To enter strobe mode, with the main lamp on press the main button 3 times quickly. Repeat to turn off strobe mode.
To access night vision mode (red light), with the main lamp off press the main button down for 2 seconds. Repeat to turn off night vision mode.
To lock, with the main lamp off hold down the main button for 4-6 seconds. Battery indicator light will flash blue to confirm. Repeat to unlock

Thanks for the video. I've had this head lamp for several years, intermittently, maybe once or twice a year I want the red light. There's no consistency to turning it on. It's a complete pain, it's not intuitive. The only thing going for this headlamp is all the others are junk, and the new models that I've checked seem to work the same way. I needed it last night. Did this, did that - no red light. Picked it up today and before I started this video held down the button. Red light! Okay, let's see if I can repeat that. Nope.
I asked a clerk in an outdoors store about it once and he gave me that 'very polite clerk' thing where he's polite but wants to call you a dumba**. He fussed and fumbled before he got it to work. Fix it and I'll buy three more, keep one, give the other two to people I care about and this one to someone I don't like.

The strap came un-done on mine and I can't figure out a way to get the strap working again. It would be nice if you had a video showing how to thread the strap for proper use. I contacted Support, but I just get a picture that shows it already working and set up, and you really can't tell from that how to thread the strap through the plastic parts. It's like looking at a picture of a knot, it doesn't tell you how to tie it.

I think putting a sticker on the back that glows in the dark and has instructions would be very helpful. I wrote some simple notes on the back of mine with reflective sharpie.

Needs much better explanation on opening the battery compartment. Impossible to tell from this video what you are doing.

To change the battery, do what to the tab on the back? Push, pull, twist? "Use?" I need more direction than that. Looks like I'm taking this back.

My headlamp is stuck in lock mode. The lock button is white and never flashes blue, no matter how long I hold down the main button. Any suggestions?

When you double click the main button, it switches to that weird (dimmer) secondary lamp. What is that for? Is it recommended to have it on in "max" mode?

Came here to figure out how to change the battery (first time usage) . That part wasn't helpful it's not so easy like he does it :-(

I bought this headlamp and it is barely working. It often stops working and does not turn on. I use brand new Duracell batteries and sometimes it doesnt turn or and shows it is red battery signal. Please help
