I’ve been dating a girl for almost 1 year now and the one thing that is lacking is a spiritual attraction. She says she is a Christian and believes in Jesus, but I haven’t seen much desire from her to seek God, be it in is word or in prayer.
I feel grieved if I go more than a day without spending time with God. I have to be in his word daily and in prayer and in worship. I enjoy doing this because God is so amazing and I want to know him more and more and I love spending time with him.
When I spend a day with her or a weekend with her that part of my life goes missing. I wish she had the excitement and joy that I do when it comes to spending time with God. She's a great girl and I really don't know what to do. I've been praying that she will have a hunger for God and I try to encourage her to spend time with God. That's all I can really do.
Can anyone here relate? How do you and your partner spend time together with God? Do you read bible together, pray together, worship together, is there an earnestness from both of you to do these things together? What is that like for you?

I am widow now and currently having attraction with the the man at my home church. He loves God so much and very talented. He sing really well and play keyboard well too. Every time he will duet with me in my solo part I get excited because I pray to my Lord Jesus that if someday, He wants me to get married again, I want a man that loves Him first above all, love my 2 children like his own, accept me of who I am, humble, and can sing really well and play keyboard so we can sing together to our King Jesus. The quality I am looking to man he got it. Although I am older than him, but I believe God will work it out for me because I prayed and fasted for this man. I know he likes me too because he loves to give me a compliment, and said that he loves when I sing to God because he can feel and hear the great anointing in me from the Lord. Which makes me happy because I like him a lot. And also his mom is really close to me. I know in God's timing he will come closer and closer to me in Jesus name.

I'm totally agree with these ideas. I'm grateful that now I'm in a relationship with a woman that I believe she is the one. I can truly feel and realize these 4 signs in our relationship. We take this relationship under the grace of Lord. We grow together as Christian to be a better person and better Christian to build more intimacy with Christ together as couple and personally as individual. We also avoid any sexual sins and keep our purity and chastity together, it's not easy but I'm glad we're support each other. I find that both of us have similar Christ-like mindset and mutual selflessness as Christian even we're from different church. I'm Roman Catholic and she's from Charismatic Christian Church. We have different way to express the love of Christ, different church culture of devotion, and sometimes different perspective. But somehow, I also find that we have the same core values about Christ and the love of Lord. Those difference are more to complete each other to become better Christian rather than separate us just because we're from different Church. Aside of that, I believe she is the one whom God what me to marry in christian marriage, I can feel it in my heart, see many signs logically and spiritually. But I also have doubt that bothering me. I believe she is the one based on many realistic and spiritualistic signs, but I keep questioning "is she truly the one whom God I want to marry?". Is not because we're from different Church, but this question keep bothering me. For now I chose to believe in God's grace by praying and fasting, I believe that God will help me to make up my heart in the right time and by his unique way. And both of us decide to put God first in our relationship. Here's my story, I wish anyone who read this will be blessed by the Lord's grace to be married with the one whom God will give to you. Very true pastor Mark. Infact, the love of God is mixed with absolute justice because, in most cases, sin like lying, stealing, murder, envy, jealous, adultery, hurt others, and God love all people, so it is only through Justice that God demonstrate His love for all HUMANITY...For example, if A commit adultery by sleeping with the wife of B, in this case it is Just for God to help the pain felt by B. The balance between justice and love of God is what made Jesus to die for our sins.

Hi Mark. Thank you for this video. It has touched me more than you can know.
Ive been in a few ungodly relationships. The first produced my 5 children. Thereafter, I kept yearning for love in wrong relationships with men who could never give me this love. It was so unfair to think that they could. One evening, after a 4 year relationship ended, I felt as if I would die. I curled up on my bed with my bible and sobbed myself to sleep. I woke up early of hours of the morning, bible still pulled to my chest, and John 3:16 bubbled out of my mouth. It was so strange andlater in the day I almost felt as if I dreamt it all. Still, it haunted me and I often wondered what this scripture meant for me at that time when I was going through pain from a failed and ungodly relationship. Fast forward, more failed relationships, right up until this year. I have had enough and Ive asked God to counsel me because even though I am a practising Christian who loves God, I feel lost. Now as I watch this video I realise that I have not understood the depth of Gods love for me... I have a restless soul Mark. So I have confessed before God again, and I have asked Him to counsel me and get to the bottom of whats going on within me that is hindering my relationship with Him. I know for sure that Idolatry and a lack of knowledge of who God is, is hindering me from experiencing true joy and healing in Him. I believe that after so long, I am finally on the path to finding my God. Please pray for me Mark. I desire to do whats right before Him and I desire marriage too, but this means nothing if I dont know God. I know this now more than ever..

Everyone always comments, this was for me, it was like God was speaking directly to me etc. perfect timing. it’s the power of scripture and how real it is in our existence and just the truth. A lot of people because of what’s pushed out into this world by Satan suffer from the same sins. Concerned for their better future in whatever they desire to have the right way.
