Saw the 5 second ad for this... showed a moose without antlers, a family of Asian heritage playing a game, a woman with eccentric hair laughing... yeah, that's a poor representation of "a Canadian thing". Or is CBC supposed to be "a Canadian thing"? Because no duh...

It's crazy how truly awful everything about this ad is, from the pulsing music that sounds like we're in the late 00s to the trash editing that provides the same effect. It's impressive how hard you're trying to pander with this while also managing to have everyone hate it. Keep it up CBC, you unintentionally provide great comedy.

CBC lost 100 million last year, and that's after the government handout of 1.24 BILLION tax bucks. If you didn't receive the handout you would have lost 1.3 billion dollars, and you're advertising _what_ here? What is this? How does this make money? Do you care about making money? Doesn't it bother you that you couldn't survive as a "business" without charity?

This commercial is disgusting for more reasons than one. You people should be ashamed.

Putting aside the insinuation that there is no Canadian culture (something trudeau has been pushing), the lines in this garbage have 0 meaning, empty nonsensical platitudes.

Our tax dollars our being spent to promote a channel and in the ad they don't even talk about their programming. They show some clips from schitts creek a show that ended years ago, it's crazy.
