I love your videos. You have helped in alot of ways. Especially targeting and approach setups. I am constantly wanting to learn. Keep the videos coming. Merry Christmas!

Wish you'd shown a deep inside shot. I've really just mastered walking up the boards and have trouble knowing exactly how much to turn the hips, etc toward where you think the direction of the target arrow will be when you get to the foul line.

Thanks for the info regarding setup. But, one thing that is not clear. If I’m shooting at a 10 pin, and my feet hips and shoulders are pointing toward my target does that mean I’m not walking straight to the foul line but towards the target instead ?

Mike M. always had a good swing plane. His technique of the push away is very downward but as the swing gets past the hip going back, he is free wheeling it but helps it get a decent peak. Then the forward swing he just waits for the ball to come off the thumb and a counter clockwise hand/ wrist exit the fingers at about 70 degrees tilt. He has the option to back off this wrist/ hand action by less projection of ball into lane. All of the reading of the ball is down lane about 50 feet from head pin.

How do you create launch angle if you always start with your arm parallel to the approach and also keep your swing within the same plane throughout the approach? Wouldn't you always release it straight up the boards doing it that way? Does your swing change direction at the point of release?

Machuga is playing up the boards just like bowling should be. He is in such good time that the ball floats off of the hand. Thumb comes out at ankle while fingers lift ball to arrows. It is easier to read lane patterns by crossing as less boards as possible. An effective roll on the ball gets the pins off the deck. That seemed about 15 -16 mph. The revs is about 14. That will keep any bowler in the hunt across the house from game to game.

consistent setup; Consistent Arm swing: Consistent approach and Consistent release. There is a little tidbit that is NEVER discussed on the approach... the fade. If your target is 12 board... and you line up on, say 15... you will or better fade to the Left (RH release)... and slide on say 22 - 25 and release across 15 and extend the slide to 10 for to hook back and roll at 12... if you are a high rev bowler.... I'm shure you know this little known fade... this is especially important for spares

I’m a no thumb bowler. Should these setup tips help with my accuracy? I usually struggle with consistently hitting my targets. I stand around 23-25. Aim for about 15. Then down lane at about 8.

My problem is pulling the ball to the left. For instance, i can throw 3 in a row and get the ball to go to the right. Then a flat out pull and miss my mark by 5 to 7 boards.

What I need to know is, does the same thing go for a one hand no thumb bowler?

Most pros today have their hips WIDE OPEN for every shot, even if they're playing straight up the lane. Their hips are pointed straight at the gutter when they play up the lane and their swing comes across their body. This goes against what you say here to have the hips lined up with the target. Please explain why they do this.
