Notice how in the beginning, no one knew Ron's middle name because he was super secretive about everything. But throughout the years Leslie has taught Ron about opening up himself to others. In the end, although he said he wasn't looking for new friends, he gladly gave his middle name.

Perfect example of how people of different beliefs can and should treat each other. Sure, it’s scripted, but I find it inspiring nonetheless.

After this episode aired and the series ended I truly started to contemplate my life and as surprising as it is. I’m actually going into an internship at a National Park near where I live because of it. This episode truly inspired me. I know she isn’t real and I know I may not ever get to meet the actor who portrayed her in real life, but thank you Leslie Knope. Thanks for inspiring me to chase my dreams.

UPDATE: I wasn’t eaten by a bear! Don’t worry! But the internship went really well and I found that I actually fit quite well in working the landscape of the National Parks Service! I’m graduating this year and I’m going into college as a biology major!
