The parks department really pulled all the stops in this episode to ensure Leslie Knope could keep her reputation intact and we love to see it

Ron Swanson tries his best to cover all of Leslie's task in one day

Season 2, Episode 12, "Christmas Scandal": Leslie (Amy Poehler) designs the Pawnee Winter Wonderland Festival, but has to hide from the press when a meeting with a disgraced Councilman lands her in the middle of a sex scandal. Meanwhile, Ron (Nick Offerman) offers to cover for Leslie for the day, and quickly discovers how much work she really does.

i actually enjoyed the slower pace of the earlier seasons. More bureaucratic stuff made the mundane office space comedy feel more grounded.
