I qualified for the rifle expert badge in the Marine Corps, though I don't claim to be an "expert" shot. Looking at the circumstances, I agree that kid knew how to shoot, not like a trained sniper, but good enough to hit the target. Only God saved Trump that day.

A cop had him at gunpoint and he was allowed to take 8 shots? I never heard that part before. How is that possible? How could these cops not be brought up on charges? That's crazy. WTF.

The most unusual aspect of this was the amount of time the shooter had to set up.
Luckily for the United States, this shooter was not military trained by the infantry. What this incident does unfold is the United States secret service is either ill-equipped to handle these types of threats or there's a breakdown in leadership and training

Speaking as someone with advanced firearms proficiency training and tacticial proficiency training, the fact that someone who is just some punk kid who has never been in a situation even close to that real life in the moment situation got a shot off that was DEAD ON TARGET like that in those conditions...that is terrifyingly impressive. I know professionals that would try and boast of being able to do that, but would have failed unless given an opportunity to retry and readjust.
