Craziest Archery Elk Shot!

This was the crazies shot I have had with my bow on an Elk. I have never had one drop like that! Listen to the sound of the arrow hitting a bone!

Only bad part of a spine shot is the close up finish. They stare at you. They watch you walk up. It's tough but it's the circle of life. No meat damage

Spinal shot. Not ideal. Make sure to get an arrow in him as fast as you can to reduce suffering and to maintain being an ethical hunter. Congrats on the harvest. He's pretty young so I'm sure the meat will be awesome.

The haters are always hilarious. Hunting is a real life-or-death sport. Nothing ever goes as planned. I'd much rather drop the animal with an unintentional spine shot than gut shot it, have it run off and disappear, and then die from the injury. In real life, hunting isn't the stuff you see on TV shows. Hell, my doe last year was a rifle spine shot - scope hadn't gotten banged unbeknownst to me and my shot was high - but a quick follow up and there's minimal suffering and no tracking.

So yeah, nice job on putting yourself in a position for a successful hunt and in bagging your elk.

That elk acted so dramatically from being hit by that arrow . It was like the elk was saying to himself oh shit, that human hit me with an arrow, "" I'm dead""... I think the elk was just playing along with the music..😂
