Dear Kelly Starrett,
I wonder what is the purpose of flossing the patella joint. I am a big fan of your page and of flossing and I want to see why this would help a future patient or someone like myself during my training. Can you please tell me why you are performing compression on the patella?

Thanks. Informative as usual. I have a perma-flexed elbow. Will a similar thing work? Especially, the direction of rotation... (internal for the tib/fib).

Hi Kelly love ur videos...ok so i've been having problems with my left knee, i just started back at working out im 360lbs 6'2 ex college d-lineman n im 28 yrs old, every time i do any kind of workout with squats the next day my left knee is sore as hell almost seem as if its misplaced. If i was to lay down with legs extended for a long time n i try to bend my left knee it hurts bad could u please tell me whats wrong?

Would this technique help me if I strained MCLs? I strained both my MCLs by not having proper form on my squats. My knees hurt and I just kept training and gutting it out through the pain. Now it is too much and my Dr says I need to rest and ice up my knees. I was thinking about trying this but then didn't want to deal with buying the bands and then returning them.

Hey, I don't know much about any of the stuff your doing but lift alot for football and I noticed my foot rotates inward when i do lunges. Is this natural or if not how can I fix it. THANK YOU!

I know he is performing his TKE passively but i can't imagine that high-level compression is good for patellar tracking, orientation, or glide.

@kellystarrett Kelly, , please help, I been using your technique from my PT and doing very well running longer distance but after many miles (8 ish miles) my right knee started feeling a sharp pain like my knees cap are banging against each other. I still use the voodoo floss and other knees method on your books. What can I do to eliminate this pain...going to Ranger school next month..please help.
