The fact that these kinds of things happen every day despite of the work field only reinforces for me the idea that adults on work are exactly like little children on school. We didn't change a bit. No maturity, no kindness

My Co-workers gossip so much about one another. They will smile in your face than 2 seconds later talk about you behind you back. I'm quiet and don't say much and just today I said right in front of my gossipy co-workers that I know I get talked about but guess what? I don't care what anyone thinks about me. 2 of them got quiet and started acting extra nice to me. It's laughable!!

DON'T SHARE ANYTHING AT WORK UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES. YOU CANT TRUST A WORK VENT BUDDY. I TRIED THAT AND PAID FOR IT FOR YEARS AFTER ENDING THE FRIENDSHIP

"Sometimes we create this unspoken bond with people that only exists in our head." Oh yeah. Will remember this. Great talk, good ideas which I reckon will be workable. Thanks.

Please do not have a vent buddy at work. Don't scream and swear either at work. Work through the problem after you have cooled down afterwards at home. Try to put water on a work fire not gasoline. Lastly learn from your mistakes and play the game differently next time.

To be efficient, Ignore all the emotions, focus on yourself, avoid involving in any dramatic people, walk away from all the drama.

I just keep my mouth shut, work and go home! I only speak when spoken to, simple.

I think if you're creating scenarios in your head of imaginary confrontations at work - you need to get a new job. That to me is a sign that you can no longer maintain the boundary between work & home/play/down time & that you're becoming jaded with your occupation. I'm currently job hunting for that reason.

This is so very true. Being away from a dramatic work place keeps all of us very efficient and effective. Thanks for the inspiration.

When she said "It is safe to assume they typed it with their middle fingers, " I started laughing and haven't stopped yet. I needed this talk.

Workplace drama can be exhausting. One of the many reasons why I don't get into politics and/ gossips 🤷‍♀️

I really admired the message...and yes, the "high road" - I was thinking to myself that it does get easier and then you start to love it because of the stillness and peace that comes of it; and then she said that. I love it. I think this talk is sound.

I have found being up front, assertive, but professional is the best policy when dealing with work place drama.
