For those who don't know, these are 2 clips of When the wind blows, an 80's british war drama movie, about an elderly couple trying to survive the aftermath of a nuke.Honestly, I know it's an animated movie, but people in the country I was born in and currently live in that were alive in the 80's were hearing of the threats of a civil war, luckily it never happened, but still, R.I.P Jim and Hilda

in the show they go outside all the time so theyre just absorbing radiation and die fast and whats even sadder is that the husband thinks that potato bags will protect against radiation so he covers himself and his wife does the same with them... little do they know it's actually that he forgot what the nuclear safety guidebook said and he only remembered it mentioned potato bags. You only use potato bags to cover someone's dead body from the blast that was in your house. It's like a body bag.

How the movie fades from a beautifull vintage fairytale to a tragedy.
It's painful to watch this.
watching the optimistic, naive, and patriotic the couple are, are just, heartbreaking to see.
The couple's days were numbered, despite knowing it, they didn't wanna worry each other, instead they died, peacefully.
Nobody had to go through this, this just shows how heartbreaking (the end result)a nuke can be, and the mess up of the government's instructions, heartbreaking.
