I forget what its called but when the birds started falling from the sky is because of the force of the blast causing such a tremendous shockwave that it ruptures their eardrums/capillaries in the head. It happens to people as well and was actually the purpose of a few bombs we made that were deemed to inhumane to use because the lasting effects it could leave on people which is kinda funny to me that they are concerned of lasting effects so its easier for them to just make a bomb that outright kills you.

I love the charge indicator that has no other value than showing the viewer how much time before the beam shoot 😂 I mean, why would you put a charge indicator OUTSIDE of the satellite?

I’ve gotta say, when I first saw this scene, I wondered why they would choose to show so much wildlife death for what felt like no reason. Now I feel like it’s actually a very important decision to show the carnage of Earth’s wildlife in addition to the massacre of large human populations. It makes you realize that it’s not just a bunch of people dying that makes the damage, whether caused by or done against Omni-Man, so terrifying. It’s the fact that fighting a Viltrumite leads to the death and destruction of entire planets, environments, and civilizations. It really emphasizes the absolute horror of a Superman-esque being without morals.

I like that they address the issue in movies where the military has an image on the big screen of a satellite or space station being destroyed by aliens or whatever and I think “hey how are they getting video from this? Is there another satellite that videotapes all the satellites being destroyed?”
