Among the neters of Ancient Egypt there are three which deal specifically with different acts of creation; Atum-RA, Ptah and Khnum. This video gives a brief account of each one, and examines our relationship to them. For artists and co-creators of our own lives, it is the neter Khnum that is most readily accessible to us.

I'm delighted to be the first to comment.
I enjoyed the deep insights of Brian Flynn into Ancient Egyptian mythology. How this amazing painter Parallels it with Islamic Sufi themes is something unique & interesting. Great video. Thank you.

You have done a very interesting work that grandly helps understanding! It is very appreciated!
Yet I must say one thing, although I can see the Alegory and parable side of the Neters, as a mixed person my view is a bit different.
Trees are only trees, yet one tree is not equal to another tree. They each have consciousness and different personalities or frequencies and the communicate with their surroundings!
I can see the cosmic principles and how they don’t have an agenda or a Human mentality! Yet in most African traditional beliefs, we continue to honor this! Cosmic principles, yet every one of them has their own characteristics or character, if not they would all have been depicted the same way!
I see what you mean, but as an African I also understand the necessity to recognize consciousness in each and everyone of them and build a good relationship with it.
Today we scientifically understand that Melanin not only protects from the Sun but also is a communicator, even used in highly sensitive medical machines. This is also why I’m most melanated countries and continents we recognize until today the spiritual and Conscious character of Nature and Cosmic principles. Because we communicate (either consciously or not) everyday with it!

As I have auto-generated subtitles, on one time you spell'd "Ptah" it appear'd the word "potassium", and this made me think that actually the word could came from, in some general meaning of clay or 'matter'. I'm thinking of "pottery". It's not unlikely that "Ptah" then has to do with "Physics"
While "Khnum" sounds now to me like "Can", being able of. Also the word "King" may be related.
For that was the idea. For instance, infact, the Greek "Basileyos" is related to "Bia", power, or "Poiesis", power to make. He is "King" who "Can".
As I had experienced how I can feasibly translate into English from ancient Greek and either Hebraic, it seems then likely to me that many ancient-egyptian words or 'roots' may echo in modern English, , for both the Hebraic and Greek civilisations have had Egypt as a parent.
