In this video, I share updates on the political landscape of the Netherlands, focused on the new #immigration laws. The new #dutch government plans to make this the strictest #migration law that has ever existed in the #Netherlands. The goal of this video is just to inform others who might otherwise not be able to get access to this information. What are some of your thoughts so far?

Bad news for asylum seekers, the preferential treatment of status holders in the allocation of social housing is going to disappear. Without preferential treatment, count on 10 - 15 years of waiting time. You can of course buy something (count on minimal 300, 000 euros) but then you also need to earn a lot, E.g. if you have a doctor's or engineer's degree and can work as a medical doctor or engineer.

Hi, the issue about spying has been around for a while. I worked at Twente university about 12 years ago and when employing phd students from Iran we had to get permission form the ministry of interior (chemical research) because they were frightend about nucelar research (but that was not what our research group was doing).

Thought I didn't hear you say they wanna teach in Dutch, not in English in Class anymore. The Government is finally better, more human. The last one wanted to make laws to kill people at 60. Turkish old sick people mostly go back to Turkey to recover because in the Netherlands they would die. So hopefully with less people in the Netherlands and more rules old people are more allowed to live a long life here also again.
