I'm a migrant too myself, from Africa. My family had to sell lands, and I went through all the immigration processes to get here. And I've been here for 17 yrs. I'm a citizen. I pay my taxes, and it's annoying seeing other people coming in illegally and still demanding the same rights as hard-working Americans. So, I don't see any racism here. What every American is saying is, just come in the right way. I work 70 hrs a week with my overtime still being taxed, I don't want to be working and sweating through my nose for someone else to enjoy.

Many of these people are coming to the US for economic reasons not to flee regimes. There are many safe countries between Venezuela and the US. The US is not responsible for the socialist regime of Venezuela. If your fleeing communism like my parents did from Eastern Europe do it through the proper legal process. I'm so tired of our country being labeled xenophobic for stopping illegal immigration. We are a nation of legal immigrants not illegal immigrants. Four of my good friends all come from legal immigrant households. My parents are from Poland, my other friends parents are from South Korea, Mexico, Greece and the Dominican Republic. We all agree and our parents agree come here legally. Its very insulting to all of our parents who did everything the right way when we are compared to someone who broke into the country. Either come here legally or don't come here at all.
