Short revealing an old trick of the trade - Forget bumper black or shoe polish... this is the real deal to restore the plastic to its original colour!
It uses artist quality linseed oil and turpentine to restore the oil in the surface layer of the plastic that gets burned off by the sun

Ah, this will be handy for restoring the fading yellow on my Fiat 500. Appreciate it mate!

Do you have an update after using it for several months? How many times you applied after this video?

Thank you for that....will definitely try it....all the chemicals I bought always fade after a week or so. Truly hope this is a long term solution 😃

Is it a 50-50 percent mix of linseed and turpentine? And can coconut oil be used instead of linseed?

Hi. Just wondered does this last long or does it wash away when you wash the car? Thank you. 👍

@bigtalltim, is it possible to use boiled linseed oil & paint thinner, or mineral spirits? Thank you for showing something that is amazing & lasts longer than any other restoration products I have seen used.

Tim, would this rejuvenate an old vinyl/plastic dash to keep from cracking? (Jaguar XJS). Thanks!

Hey mate, just wondering if you can use normal "Mineral Turpentine" or "Artist turpentine"? In Australia we don't have access to distilled turpentine. Really want to give this a go with my car project. Other than that great video.

I have an 07 Versa SL. The bumper you got there looks a lot like mine, but mine goes down to the black layer. Will I have to paint it instead of using this method? Also, will this method work for sun-affected plastic trim, like bumper protections, plastic grille? Thanks!

I have the same questions as several other people but the replies aren't showing up in the comments.
I wanted to know if it needs to be refined linseed oil or will boiled work. How long does this treatment last?

Do you suggest using Raw Linseed oil or Double Boiled linseed oil?

Had to get the ingredients off Amazon as no store here has them where I live. Was about 32 US dollars for both products going go give it a go before painting my bumpers later down the line. Five cans of trim satin spray paint cost just as much 😅
