You can just do these built-in steps on Apple's support website when you Google this problem.

1. Put watch on charger, hold side button until the sliders appear.

2. Hold digital crown, press Reset.

3. Set up the watch like normal, from new or from an automatic backup.

That is the most apple thing I've ever seen. Could've just been a simple reset button inside a pinhole like it has been for DECADES, but instead you've got to buy their proprietary part just to reset your own device lmao

FYI if you reset the device or any apple device, you need the account that was with the device itself. You can reset all you want but the logic board is paired to the iCloud acct.

I just love how Apple, in its infinite wisdom, keeps *removing* ports but you can always *BUY* the part they *removed* in order to use it like you *should* to *begin* with!!!

Actually if you hold the crown down while in the power off menu you can reset it directly from the Watch

The actual problem with that message is that even if you have the setting turned off, where it’ll reset the watch after too many passcode attempts, it’ll force you to reset it anyway. Can’t tell you how many time I had to put my watch in my pocket at work and I pulled it out and it needed to be reset. Sometimes it only took about an hour or less
