Honestly 7-8 times Pixel 7a has been fall from my hand and i intentionally thrown it for 2 to 3 times.. Surprisingly there is no single scratched it the body. I dont know why you experienced it. But i guess pixel 7a has one of the best build quality

This is high time that all the phone companies bring back sd card slot. Even a simple screen replacement needs your phone to be wiped. Wish EU does something about this . Either make sd card slot mandatory or no data erase for any repairs except motherboard issue

I find it phishy bro, why did they bothered to reset the device, i feel like they must have stolen your data from the forced recovery of binary language data that remains until something is over written after resetting the device. I m really skeptical about it

The reason why they formatted it is because fingerprint won't work after display replacement, you need to go to go a website from Google to fix it. They formatted it because they don't know your password to open some kind app to pair new finger print with your phone
