I measure the aloe vera into the corner of a baggie and then snip a small hole in the baggie corner, and squeeze it out into my shampoo bottle.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your Aloe Vera product has chemicals in it. Look up the ingredients on the back of the bottle.

In my attempt to get a natural shampoo I ordered the exact products from amazon which all came up to $70 I didn't worry too much about the price because I thought it was what I was looking ...however I did the recipe exactly as in the video IT WAS THE MOST STICKY THING I EVER PUT IN MY HAIR TOOK 2 WASHES TO GET MY HAIR NORMAL SO I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS ALL THE ALOE AND STUFF I WASHED MY HAIR WITH THE DR BONNERS SOAP ALONE GOT THAT EXACT EFFECT STICKY HAIR I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED BECAUSE I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE SWEAR BY DR BONNERS SOAP HAD TO GO BACK TO REGULAR SHAMPOO STILL LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NATURAL

The two best hair growing ingredients are castor oil and fenugreek; I would add to this formula.

I’ve been making my own shampoo for quite a while. I also use Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap with Almond scent. I add a few drops of Castor oil to it. I used to bathe our little Shih-Tzu twice a week with it (she passed Labor Day which broke our hearts) but when we decide to get another pet or two, I’ll use this again.

What is the vegetable glycerin supposed to do? Could I use an actual aloe plant for the aloe portion of it and just blend it up?
