Homemade Natural Shampoo

Shampoo generally has a lot of unnecessary nasty chemicals in it, this natural shampoo recipe avoids bad chemicals, is cruelty free & comparatively eco-friendly too! It is also a lot cheaper when you consider the life time use of the ingredients,
A lot of people turn to 'no-poo' shampooing because they want to get away from the harsh effects of conventional shampoos and gain many benefits that come from that. This is still a shampoo, but it is a lot gentler and doesn't strip natural oils in the way conventional shampoos do.
I use it about twice a week and have a apple cider vinegar rinse about half that time as well.

Homemade natural shampoo
- 1/2 cup coconut milk - conditions hair, helps it foam
- 1/2 cup castile liquid soap - natural cleaner!
- 1 tbsp vitamin e oil - preservative and restorative oil
- 1 tsp fenugreek powder - detangling properties
- 20 drops lavender essential oil, 10 drops rosemary -great for scalp, antibacterial etc.

This shampoo rocks! Well, sort of. I didn't have all the ingredients, so I kinda made my own version (1/2 cup Castile soap, 1/2 cup canned coconut milk, 10 drops of lavender oil and 10 drops of geranium oil). I have wavy-ish frizzy, fluffy hair, but after using this shampoo just once (I made it today), it feels super smooth and not frizzy at all! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, Ela!

I made both the apple cider vinegar rinse and the shampoo (minus the vinegar powder). I was amazed! My hair is so soft, but the biggest thing I noticed is how much less hair is left in the drain. Almost none. Compared to before, it was amazing. I wouldn't go back to commercial shampoo for anything!

Best part about your videos is that they are short to the point while being clearly explained. Too many videos talk talk talk. Your are the best for staying to the point. Great job!!!

I just made this! I used almond castile soap, cedarwood eo, lavender eo, sweet orange eo, and tea tree oil. I smell like a forest after my shower now, I love it.

I've been using this recipe for 6 months now and I'm done. Going back to my regular shampoo. The breakage on my hair has been horrendous. My hair is as long as hers and have lost half its thickness due to the breakage. Can no longer put it in a fat smooth braid. The ACV rinse just made my hair feel waxy. Tried everything I could think of to adjust the ph level and stop the breakage, nothing worked. The only thing that helped to minimize the breakage was to put a few drops of Argan oil in my hands and rub it through, avoiding the scalp.

I want to try this, but this beautiful girls hair looks less than desirable, the top looks greasy, and the bottom looks so dry. :-/...Just being honest...

I appreciate people trying their own, just because we are told to buy shampoos from these companies, doesn’t NOT mean they are more better to use.

I am in my mid twenties and my hairline has been receding for a couple of years. I tried Biotin and other all natural products as well as expensive prescriptions and none of them worked. I was looking for other natural products when I came across arganlife. I never heard of using real hair for a concealer so I purchased this product expecting very little. I was blown away on how natural looking and durable this product is. It blended so well my girlfriend of four years could not even tell what was different. I would recommend this product to anyone with thinning or receding hair.

Hey ela! Ive read that castile soap is too alkaline for our scalp, and it could damage your hair in the long run. Many DIY shampoo recipes included Aloe Vera gel instead. So give it a try.
You are gorg btw, and all ur vids just inspire me! love u xx

I purchased ArganRain shampoo and oil because my hair is thinning, and there were positive reviews for this product. It seems to be making my hair fuller. I like it.

I love this! I added a tablespoon of arrowroot powder to the warmed coconut milk so the consistency would be thicker and it's perfect!

Only shampoo I have been using. *Argan rain shampoo* has helped it not look all fried and damaged. Helps it survive through my tortures. And the scent is amazing. If you have hair like mine, I would recommend this.
