Ever wondered why massive ships don't sink in rough seas, even while tiny stones do in calm waters? Dive into this comprehensive exploration of ship buoyancy, stability, and the engineering marvels behind the design of modern sea vessels. Based on Archimedes' principle and the concept of buoyancy, we'll uncover the secrets of ship construction, from hull shape to ballast and stabilizers. We'll also delve into model ship testing and the crucial role it plays in predicting and enhancing ship performance. Don't miss this journey into the world of ship design and the science of staying afloat.

These mega ships really are absolutely remarkable. I spent about 250 nights at sea last year, and couldn't help be amazed by the scale every single day!

This is propaganda put out by cruise ship companies

Any man made vessel that is made to float can sink under the right or wrong circumstances.

You can test all you want. All waves, winds, & hurricanes are different. All it takes is one giant wave to turn a few degrees with a pickup of wind or no pickup of wind & any ship will go down!

These New Cruise Ships are way too Big. I know they have Super computers that are suppose to make Ships safer however, Mother Nature will Sink a Ship No matter the Technology🫣

Only God can prevent a ship from sinking, any ship can sink

Stay tuned for: "Why Titanic is unsinkable." But first: "Why nuclear reactors can't melt down".

Because even the smaller ships know that you drive into the wave do not get caught parallel to the waves. We were in 25 foot waves on the frigate I was on (cape Hateras South Carolina) and I was outside on watch. You could grab the wet handrails and take one step and go down a whole level because the ship would rise to meet you. It was wild lol.

This is an awesome video explaining why ships stay afloat.

People mentioning the Titanic have no clue about what theyre talking about. If weight is greater than the bouyancy than the ship will sink. The Titanic had sailed many days before it sank. Why did it float?

Also, they said God Himself couldn't sink the ship. God always has the last say. He proved that with the Titanic. It also shows the deadly nature of pride.
