So good, evidence of forethought,
Wow, just wow,

The ship's being on a tilt of one side or the other, on it's beams, negates the release systems of most of these craft. This has been the MAIN PROBLEM throughout seafaring history.

In German a boat is = DAS BOOT. Some English speakers assume BOOT rhymes with BOOP as in BETTY BOOP. It does not.

Could it survive a smash-drop from a tall cresting wave?

They may not be capable of sinking it, but be PREPARED to be cover in your opposite neighbour breakfast, lunch dinner or all 3. Oh! and all others in which are held.

You have not answered the "why." You simply say how safe and how tough they are, but not explaining why they are so tough (material, engineering, etc.).

That's what they said about the Titanic, "unsinkable" the unsinkable Titanic is still sitting on the bottom of the Atlantic ocean.

If they are air tight, how is fresh air recirculated back into the life boat?

The top of the screen is blurry. Who owns this video?

Interesting that you failed to mention that passenger ships are not required to have enough lifeboats for all aboard. Most passengers would like to know that.

so why dont people just sail around in these instead of actual boats?

200 feet?? The deceleration on impact would be quite a ride.

From my point of view and doing marine recovery work, the weakest point is the hydrostatic release system is when the painter line fails to disengage pulling the escape pod under.😢

I would like to see the last one converted into a small house boat.
