I also like the fact that the numbers are visible from the other side of the lock as well - so when you're entering your combination, someone on the other side can see the numbers and even without any tools, steal the (reversed) combo surreptitiously.

Hey LPL, would you be interested in making a series highlighting good locks and the features that make them better than almost everything else you feature? I would be interested in seeing what features actually work for locks and maybe an explanation of why. Love your work, just curious if you would be interested in trying.
Lock making history would also be interesting I think. I remember you talking a little about the history of a few of the locks you've featured before and it was very interesting.

I realize the LPL is a masterclass lockpick, but he features vanishingly few locks for which that's necessary... and I think that's the whole point.

This is an industry where failure isn't an option - it's the norm.

I see code wheels like that, and the first thing I think of is "Notch Decoder" like the one in my Covert Companion.

Then the "that's pretty special as well" at the end. Made me think of the old SNL "Church Lady" skit ("Well isn't that special?"). LPL embarrassed that lock twice in under 3 minutes.
