What does a fractional exponent mean? How do I do a number to the power of one half? What is the connection between fractions in exponents and square roots? Do fractional exponents obey the same rules we discussed in the first two parts of this series? I'll answer these questions and give some info on WHY all these rules work :-).

For more videos on exponents algebra, geometry, life, cats, and cupcakes, please click on my channel or on the links in the video. ...Okay, maybe I'm promising too much, but the math part is true. And possibly the cats.

is x to the power of 1/4 the same as x to the power of 0, 25? would be interesting to see if that would make as much intuitive sense as the first one. And what would happen if the exponent is 0.501 or something weird like that that can't necessarily be written as a fraction?
