Cos(a+b) is cos a. cos b - sin a. sin b

Got me a little confused. They should be capital x and capital y in cos(theta2) equation.
Along with the cos(theta) expansion identity.It should be negative: L2.C1C2-L2.S1S2

First of all thank you so much for making these videos! Secondly, could you explain why you add L2sinO1sinO2 when expanding the X equation? same for the expantion of Y with L2cosO1sinO2. Or could you refer to a video that explains the steps? Thanks again.
