Aaron its been a month since I’ve upgraded my 8 Plus to 11 Pro Max. Believe me 8 Plus is very under rated. Can go on for atleast another 3 yrs without any issues whatsoever.

Bought an iPhone 11 few days ago as my New Years present, came from iPhone 7 and I am very happy about it 🥳

It all depends on your budget, the XR will be perfect for the vast majority of people but if you have the extra $100 I recommend the iPhone 11. If you have the money and want the extra zoom on you camera and a slightly(to my old eyes it’s the same) better screen then get a Pro in the size you want. I bought an iPhone 8 when it came out and it worked fabulously and $449 is a great price for it. Realistically it all comes down to your budget, you can get an iPhone XR, AirPods, and a Series 3 Apple Watch for the price of a iPhone 11 Pro.
