Congrats on your new little honies! That went very well. When I was young, my Great Uncle had honeybees. He never wore any kind of protection. It amazed me how he could handle them & not get stung. Good luck on this new adventure.

Great job of transferring them over! The Chinese Tala tree is our big honey producer here along the greater Texas Gulf Coast. The trees are in full bloom now, if only the rain would stop and we could get some sunshine.

Howdy y’all- I helped my Grandpa with his bees when I was a kid. Sadly, we lost our local “Honey Man “ a couple weeks ago. He was very helpful in getting other people started with their own bees. He will be missed. Take care and God bless y’all

NO JOKE - the sting can kill if you are allergic. Hope you have an epi pen - how far is the ambulance? They have the treatments - unfortunately, I have had a few situations where I had to take someone in shock from allergy to the ER. In the old days, many did not make it - now the ambulances have the med and give it right away. Be careful please.
I am sticking with stevia - although I do use local honey for a sore throat - works miracles.

I swell up like a balloon when I get stung thank goodness I can still breathe but I can not handle Bee swarms the sound makes me nervous lol. It may be because I was stung so much when I was younger I know how bad it hurts lol. Rick wants Bees later on I am like as long as you have them at the back of the property lol. It was a pleasure meeting yall yesterday. Thank yall so much for the shirt and the stevia.

If you’re allergic you might want to keep an epi pen on hand. We just got our first nuc a week ago so we’re learning too. I’m in Arkansas, what store were you at? I couldn’t read the sign.

Folks need to understand allergies and not insist people suffering from them put themself in harms way. My parents were very kind to me when I told them I was allergic to lawn mowers. Never did cut.
