I did kind of get regret choosing Poppy but after i somehow reached floor 15 in my first playthrough i can say... Poppy my goat🗣️🗣️🗣️

Poppy has more solo value, while Boxten has more team value

I mostly play games like this solo, so at the start i picked Poppy, and i currently have 100%ed the game while mostly playing solo, and i do not regret picking Poppy, because Boxten's solo boost is just 6%, which doesnt matter that much ( it still does matter, but in solo survivability is more important imo )

So overall, it depends on how you are playing/planning on playing the game

I am not attacking, but Poppy is actually good. You see, her passive doesn't have a cooldown, and sometimes Toodles will not land on speed effect every time, and Poppy can speed boost from main twisted's, and others so Poppy is actually a good starter character.

I disagree. Poppy isn't bad. Hear me out, she's my highest floor record for solo run (floor 27) and that was my third day playing Dandy's World.
(I have unlocked and mastered all toons and yet Poppy still holds the crown.)

This is how you play Poppy:
1. PASSIVE - Her passive gives her a free escape; enough to hide and de-aggro enemies unless you're in the open or you have skill issue.)
2. You can get away having 3 med kits as your items. (It's still recommended to leave 1 spot for stamina.)
3. She's a well-rounder with a decent survivability. Play her like you would with other toons. Be patient, aware, and always think of a escape plan while doing a machine.

Poppy > Boxten (In certain situation.)
*When you're playing with randoms as Boxten, people tend to die way too fast making Boxten's passive insignificant. Most of the time, you'll end up alone with no ability. In this scenario, Poppy is way better.
*Poppy's survivability makes up for her average stats. You get more research and ichor the longer you survive as well as understand the game's mechanic deeply. You are less likely to be afraid of higher floors.

Most important of all, if you prefer Poppy's appearance then don't listen to what people say and pick her. People tend to undervalue her ability too even though it's really good in the right hands.

TLDR: Boxten is only better than Poppy if there are many people alive (which is very unlikely in a normal lobby.) In which case, Poppy is better by a huge margin.

Not relating to the video, but the most annoying thing in Dandy’s world is that one dude always say: “Abc for main hunt/ dandy hunt/ pebble hunt/ etc…, no newbies allowed”. And they don’t let starters toons come in. Meanwhile not all ppl use Boxten and Poppy are bad 💀😭

fun fact: before i got enough to buy scraps, and then goob, i used poppy as a kiter. using both dog plush and speedy shoes while doing so. i failed miserably due to my bad wifi and lag spikes, atleast i tried.

I think she's good when solo runs because
Of her passive honestly like getting away from pebble or Shelly or vee
I just pair her with Participation Award
And Magnifying glass when I solo with her
Same with boxten
I chose boxten first but everyone was pro at being poppy so I just went to bought her as my 3rd toon
The first toon I bought was shrimpo
I did it bc I got bored

But if her passive seconds is way more longer I think it's better
If her passive is When encountering A twisted you get a 50% speed boost for 3 seconds
I think that's good ngl but if encountering stacks up (maybe)
Then maybe it would be too op
