Thank you so much! 🙏 I finished electrical school but all we did was hook up receptacles and bend conduit.

This is great, basic stuff you instruct in your content! I'm a part-time electrical apprentice and I gather a WEALTH of knowledge from videos. I've only seen two of your videos so far, and you've already acquired another "subscriber"! Thank you for these videos!

Love your videos, Craig! Very simple to understand and to the point. Keep making more, please. I'm a commercial/ industrial guy that wants to get into residential side work. Your videos are exactly what I've been looking for.

I really enjoy your videos, they are very easy to understand and follow along with. I think an interesting topic you could go over is what happens when you lose the neutral to your service and why it is so important to split the ground/neutral apart. I have ran across a lot of electricians that think if you drove a ground rod and wired it to a 20 amp breaker, energized it, it would trip the breaker, and that is not true. You really do not understand what is happening at a house that has lost it service neutral when you get called to trouble shoot. They tell you my lights work and the AC works but when I turn on the microwave/hairdryer the lights start flickering and acting weird.

Great teaching! Craig would you mind doing a video explaining how to navigate the code book on what your looking for easier? Thanks!

Second time watching this video. Very informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Dumb question: what is the function of the wire on either side of the socket? I think it’s called it a bridge. Does the assembly help hold the meter in place? It almost looks like it allows current to make its way from the line side of the socket to the load side, but that would not make sense since removing the meter would not kill the power. Just wondering. I don’t see them on all meters.

I’m from Illinois and have been certified in commercial electrical maintenance. Currently I work for a company that makes loadbanks and fuel supply systems. Are you an instructor at a college? I just liked and subscribed to your channel. I’m wanting to learn more about residential systems and you teach better than the teacher I had in school. Not knocking the guy, because he was knowledgeable, but didn’t teach it well. I’m excited to learn more from you.

Is there a reason you installed a rigid plastic insulating bushing inside the box on the knockout clamp at the bottom? Why not to use a watertight connector on both meter socket openings?

I am the industrial, Commercial, Residential, wiring Student Lab assistant for the program at a local college. I am assisting a first year albeit master electrician instructor. How does one grow the program and provide meaningful demonstration of technical skills to students with limited knowledge of abilities?

Hey Craig,
Love your videos. To be honest, they are some of the best. Quick question though. I don't ever see the Service entrance cable and weatherhead around where I live. It is always PVC. Is that just a preference or could that be a local code. Thanks. Keep up the good work

I'm running an overhead feeder to a 100A sub panel. Sub is in a detached garage. Is it allowed to run RMC inside the garage? I'm told SER needs to be covered/in conduit when used for a branch circuit.

How does copper ground connect to service box and outside to the ground rod. Does it need 2 ground rods for 200amp? It's need construction, metal pole barn. Thanks
