As a 40 year electrician this is what I do every time. It's easier for any repairs or faults that may arise. It's also pride in my work.

My grandpa once said, "Just because nobody sees it is no reason to not do it right." Miss that man.

I rewired a boat just like this. The owner never failed to show every guest that came on board how pretty it looked. It was worth it to him.

Master electrician here. I don't charge by the hour. You pay me for the job.
If you don't understand pride in craftsmanship, that's your loss.

Any tradie that thinks about making the job easier for the next guy is a true tradie.

It is an absolute joy to open up the panel and see that a CRAFTSMAN has been there before you.

As an engineer and home owner, I'd be happy to pay the extra labor to have it done this way. Every time. As it stands, my 16-year-old but new to me house is so full of half-assed electrical work it drives me nutty. Already fixed three problems that could have killed someone.

any electrician who takes pride in their work and is willing to take time to make their work look neat and clean so the next person has an easier time working on it is a true tradesman

As the guy that usually ends up chasing down problems long after the electrician is gone, seeing a panel wired like this instead of a rats nest that falls out when you open the cover makes a huge difference.

Generally it’s a sign of good workmanship because it makes it easily repairable, which is a sign of good faith that they won’t be forcing you to go through them in the future

It’s worth it when the next guy only takes 25 minutes instead of chasing wires for an hour.

As a person who has had a house fire that started in the fuse box, this electrician is worth every single penny.

Code states that the work performed needs to be neat and orderly. That is a perfect example of that.

Electrician here. This is called: "pride in ones work", and it's something a lot of people could learn a lot from. 😉 👍

Super. I LOVE that conduit hickey/wire bender, and yes, it is a pride matter, an attention matter, and worth it. This Sparky sleeps VERY well at night knowing that I give every home this treatment, and it is nice when the inspector smiles at you and signs off on the permit, not to mention everyone who ever works on that box down the road will thank their lucky stars that you did your job, AND a neatly wired box is actually safer for the homeowner and anybody else that works in the box. P.S. I always show the box and my work to the people living in the home, not only assuring them about the lifetime of peace of mind for the money they spent, but I also explain things, like how to properly reset things like GFCIs and circuit breakers, or how to put a fuse in the furnace cutoff, or etc. & etc. I would love to get PAID a couple hundred bucks per hour, but my pay is but a fraction of that, as most of that money goes for things like insurance, bonding, and gas and tools and supplies. 💙 T.E.N.

As a non electrician, I’m sure the next electrician that has to work in that box will be greatly appreciative of the extra care that will make their job quick and simple. Don’t think about how fast you can do a job, but how well you can do it.

I would gladly pay for this and I did. In the late 90 we moved my company to a new building and had to rewire completely. We had a guy like this. The inspector came, looked at 1 panel and passed us on the spot. Vinny, you’re the man!

That electrician works as if its their own house and I respect that

As an HVAC technician I can say it’s an extremely nice thing to see cleaned up wiring

As someone who has had to repair Cthulhu-esque abominations in electrical panels more than once, ROUTE YOUR DAMN WIRES.
