It's such an important show almost everyone should see. Some scenes were hard af to watch but the show is so worth it. It's not afraid to talk about (and even show fairly vividly) the hard stuff like rape and suicide, but it also shows how much the "little" things can impact a person's life. I have mixed thoughts about parts of it but overall it is so amazing and important. Added to my top shows because it wasn't afraid to deal with tough stuff in a very real way and because of how it impacted me.

Thank you Netflix for making this show, I'm 30 years old and I had a rough time in school as well but had no one to care about, If I have seen this show when I was little, my whole life would be different, I'm sure this is helping lots of kids right now, and I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart.

each episode was gut wrenching...schools in america are so different...i really dont get the obsession with mean people being popular...how does that ever happen...but still the stories were pretty relatable

This is an idea I got just now. This series should have 3 seasons only.

S1: Hannahs suicide.
S2: Solving the cliffhangers and leading the story to the end..
S3: Showing like a sort of spin off, without Hannah recording the tapes and moving on with her life, like, what would have happened if she was still alive and how would things should have ended so the younger audiences can learn that life gets better somehow.

I just finished watching this show and it's impossible not to feel so related when you've been trough so much like Hannah and sometimes feel there's no other way but to quit once and for all, in that moment it's so easy to think in taking the most easy way. But with this show i felt like everything will eventually be ok and that there's so much to live for and so much amazing people to meet that it's worth living, thank you for helping me a lot by making this show. Just perfect.

Rather than a second season continuing Hannah's story, they should have either a single epilogue episode or an epilogue series--dedicating an episode to each character, giving each of them a resolution.

I might not know you, let alone seen you before, but I just wanted to tell you that you do matter. I may not have 13 tapes or 13 reasons, but one reason you need to know is that, you're here for a reason. Your parents had you for a reason, even if you were unexpected or put is the foster system, every little cell inside you was made for a reason. Maybe you might cure cancer, or something more minor like bring your school together and stop bullying once and for all. You do matter. I was made for a reason, my sister was made for a reason, everyone was made for a reason. I don't know you, but you matter to me. I'm just a stranger on YouTube, but sometimes, when you're too scared to tell anybody what has been happening, maybe someone anonymous might help. I care. Even if you've had a horrible past, I care. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who cares. Your friends, your family, shit even your damn pet cares. You matter, and if you don't feel like you do, you matter. You fucking matter.

the way the siblings talk to eachother. <3 this reminds me of my bestfriend, the only one i will and have talked about everything. but i feel like she's parting away from me but at the time drawing closer. i have another bestfriend but he's a boy, and he's in love with the most amazing girl. but i know true friends will be there when i need them, but they're not there when i need them the most, because im too afraid to talk about the things that goes through my life and mind, and i know they'll be there but i sometimes feel like they're not. xc

You can’t feel anything, but an ache or a longing for something. But you don’t know what that something is. You can laugh. But you’re not really laughing. You can smile but if someone were to look deeper into your eyes. They’d disappear into nothing. You disappear into nothing. And if you are alone with your thoughts. Your lost in sea. It may seem empty, but something is luring you in deeper and deeper. And then it’s so dark you can’t describe what your feeling. To some people it’s nothing, to others THERE IS NOTHING. There’s a difference. By then you want to tell someone but you feel foolish and angry with yourself. You begin to isolate yourself. If no one knows, no one can get hurt. I can’t explain to people what is happening to me. They don’t care. People have bigger problems, you say all these things, but although that is true, your problem matters. No matter how small.
