I feel no sympathy for Bryce. It took him too long to realize what he did was wrong and Mrs. Baker doesn't owe him anything. Even when you apologize and really mean it, you're not entitled to anything, not even forgiveness. Like trust, you have to earn. You have to prove to the person(s) that you hurt that you regret hurting them and respect their boundaries and wishes. And none of that involves vendettas.
