Antoinette Pienaar lives in the Great Karoo - a barren landscape in the centre of South Africa. Many people question how she survives in this desolate space. But for Antoinette, it is a place to thrive. She has come to learn that by sitting quietly and paying attention, a world of beauty is revealed. She has found her secret to life.

Who is Green Renaissance? We are a tiny collective of 2 passionate filmmakers (Michael and Justine). We live off-grid and dedicate our time to making films that we hope will inspire and share ideas.

I just found this series of videos last night, and I can't stop watching them. I'm a 53 year old married woman in Upstate, NY in the USA. We live on our small farm and try to be as self sufficient as we can because it enriches our life and our soul. But the last few years, I have felt that there is something missing in my life. I always seem to be so hurried, and have so much to get done, and it builds and builds in me until I'm in despair. After watching these videos, I actually feel a shift in me....to see life from different perspectives. And it is leading me to implementing changes in my life, so that I have a more simple, yet fulfilling life, however many more years I have. I can't thank you enough for doing this video series....you've changed my life...

I love this video. I found myself longing to sit at her feet, for just a little more wisdom. In fact, I plan to watch this video morning and night for the next 7 days. What a confronting thing to do … shave your hair in winter so that spring will be celebrated deeply with a greater sense of awareness and appreciation. I won't be doing that, but without choice, my voice has decided to take its own hibernation, and the silence has brought with it, a sharpened sense to what is around me as it do my morning walk in the local park. Capturing the moments, I snapped many pictures to hold the precious gifts a little longer. It was wonderful. As for animals and their unconditional love … I wait for one of the locals to walk past my fence with his four large hounds, and when they do, each of them jump up for a pat. Their wet "kisses" just make my day. Thank you so much for this wonderful video.
