Thank God, I was trying to start a dress pattern (for my wedding dress) and got stuck on the foundation chain! The way it was explained in the book was totally weird and this has got me a proper chain with clear single crochets. Hallelujah there is hope yet for me to make this dress! Thank goodness for youtube.

I didn't know about this stitch, I chained over 200, did 4 rows, frogged it, done it again another 4 rows and I was still not happy... I tried this stitch and my scarf is now perfect! I wished I had known this foundation row before, it would have saved me a lot of time! Thank you for sharing this stitch!

I watched five other videos on how to do this, and I still didn't get it right until I watched this video. You worked slow enough so I could see what you were doing while I did it, you explained everything clearly, and the lighting really helps because I couldn't really see the stitches clearly in other videos. Love this video. I had been working on another project for over a year and needed a brush up on my foundational chain for my new project. I watched a couple of other videos, and I just wasn't getting it. But I remembered learning from your video originally. Best fc video out of several tried previously. Adding the “anatomy” of the stitch made the difference! So many video demos assume the viewer is working at the same angle as the demo...which is not always clear and this is a big help! Obviously you put some thought into this demo before publishing. Well done!
