I know DayZ guides aren't your thing but this was definitely helpful for someone teaching themselves this stuff as you did. Would definitely watch other Editing Tutorials like this one. Most of the other guides you find out there have a 20 min intro of nonsense before they get to the tutorial. Great stuff man!

Cheers mate, I also use gimp and vegas but i used to make a map and dot in gimp and then make 100's of layers in vegas of just the dots and move them around in there. this is going to save my alot of time.
