Trying POLISH FOOD for the first time

I'm Polish American from Chicago. Polish food is awesome! Potato and cheese Pierogies are the best fried with caramelized onions. I also love stuffed cabbage and Bigos with smoked sausage.

My favourite pierogi are the ones with meag or some berrys with natural yogurt! Absolutely amazing!

Where i grew up in Michigan, the next town over was Posen. If my information is correct, the local newspaper there was still printed in Polish in the 1950's. Their potato festival and other events were an absolute foodie delight. I need to see when the Potato Festival is this year.

If you are not sure about pierogi (whatever is the filling) try to fry them a bit as well. Then they are crunchy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside. Greetings from Poland

I am from Poland, in my class during English lessons, we do not say "because", but we say "bigos". We've been doing this since 1st grade and we always laugh at it XDDDD
