Whevener I get bored on ETS2/ATS, I start a long-haul trip, turn off GPS and map navigation, and try to find my way to the destination by writing down cities, points of reference and directions, oldschool style. Only rule I have is if I HAVE to look at the map, I must have the truck fully stopped as if I opened a paper map on the truck's dashboard. It's very fun and i makes you pay attention to things like signs and points of interest.

Hey i just realised that if you don't your off your high light when passing by an AI they will give you an light signal telling you to turn off that thing because it's bliding him, and also when it's raining and your side mirrors are almost impossible to see them, you can just open and close the window and it will clean the rain, god i love the details of this game, hope i help you with your ''thing that you didn't know about ets2 videos''!

Over 20 years on real roads and still thrilled by the job ! A year and a half on SCS Trucks sims ( Europe and USA ). Looks like j've got some other 18 years and a half before j get bored !

What I absolutely love to do is connecting my other hobby with ETS2 - trains and trams. Those that are in Beyond the Baltic Sea and Road to The Black Sea are absolutely awesowe, waiting for a same or higher quality revamp for Going East!

Other options would be, as you mentioned changing trucks, not only I do that regularly, but also have my own trailers, and keep changing them too and also every now and then take freight market trailers for a change, not to mention try mod trailers from Jazzycat and others. I also keep tuning my trucks every now and then by changing parts, adding new ones, removing and going back to the old ones and the same goes to even trying different truck engine sounds, trying different engine power from low to high or vice versa.

The Hungary 1:3 Map is also a great map to play on and you dont even need a single dlc for it. 👍

something else to add: buy the ATS. There are so many players who only have the ETS. The ATS is really underrated. There is also a lot of new content there.

I now downloaded frosty winter mod, set my rain chance to max, for it to be a Blizzard all the time and just play some Christmas music in the background, personally I really like the vibe

I change my truck every 10, 000-20, 000 kilometers, ofc not buying new one just taking one that I already have and also idea of driving trough countryside is really good but highways are everywhere so one good tip is to drive trough Russia or Bulgaria maybe Romania, it's just problem if you don't have the required DLC's, but still this is some good advice.

Agree with all of them. Other options are: becoming a photographer, capturing image of your truck or surrounding, and upload it into your social media. Make your ETS 2 becoming Music player/Radio Player.

The best thing we found is: Grab some friends, open a multiplayer game, teleport to Florenz in Italy and drive to the Carrara Mining area. There you get a narrow track with sharp curves, offroad and tarmac and that is the perfect racetrack for hotlapping or playing cops vs racer or just having races. We spent so many hours racing there...

For maps, I recommend the Mapa EAA. Currently, it is only downloadable without registering anywhere for version 1.45, but you can get your hands on the 1.46 version if you so happen to speak spanish or portugese which I don't, but anyways, it's all of south america in one map for free without any dlcs.
For modded vehicles, I seriously recommend buses. There is some really good ones like the Temsa Safir II or the Neoplan Skyliner which I drove about 12000 km with in total.

When I am bored at normal cargo&trailer, I buy an other trailer with different axles options or long versions and I try to park in tight spaces (rest area, gas station or companies) in first person view. I have been playing 18WoH, ETS, ETS2, ATS and Scania Truck Driving Simulator for more than 10 years so I am already very good at driving and parking but I can still enjoy at this. I definitely recommend you try it. You would enjoy and improve your driving skills. In addition, if you haven't played STDS, you should try. It's absolutely fantastic game.

the first tip, I always change trucks after completing 10, 000km, and take the one with the fewest kilometers, it's a way to test all the trucks in the game and sometimes increase the difficulty.

the second, whenever I arrive in a city, I always try to look for cargo in companies that I haven't visited yet! it's a good way to make the game take me to unknown parts naturally.

the 3rd is something i rarely do. . .

but the fourth tip, how to know I recently started a trio with older trucks! it has been a spectacular experience.

I have all the DLC's so, a way to not get tired of the game, is to switch from ETS2 to ATS every time I change trucks, and then I roll 5, 000 miles on the ATS and go back to 10, 000 kilometers on the ETS2.
this may also have to do with having more maps (mods)

although I always feel like something is missing, I always have settings in games as realistic as possible.

about other mods, I always use a traffic mod, it helps to make the game more realistic in terms of presence. and I still use one more for the rain, I really don't like how the rain is presented in the game, so I installed a mod that makes the rain a little more realistic, and harder too

Create parking challenges for yourself. Those random Norwegian houses with driveways? Back into one. Narrow alleyway? Back down it. Try driving the Kirkenes quarry (single player of course) in reverse the whole way.

Anything is a parking/maneuvering challenge if you're brave enough.

My favourite mods in ETS2 are different AI Vehicles. I love to spot which different vehicle I can see from my truck.
