I have a 1998 Honda Accord and have a issue with sometimes I get a no start. I recently figured out if I loosen the gas cap give it throttle and then try starting it will usually start. Think it could possibly be purge valve sometimes I smell gas around my car so I have a evap leak for sure. Curious if you can help at all

My car has been hesitating and now stalling when stopped or coming to a stop after getting gas. I'm trying to figure out what the issue is. It's getting worse and previously there were no codes. Not sure now but am trying to get it back in. Do you know if the canister close valve or charcoal canister would cause these issues? From what I have read it seems like the purge valve is the most likely culprit but these other two parts were replaced recently because I was not able to get gas in the car.
