You have the best video on this. And my biggest symptom when I took it to the place was not just a check engine light, but it was the fact that every time I went to get gas it was like I couldn’t start my car. Nobody else was listing that or nor was it listed on Google when I put in to see about having a hard time starting the car specifically after reviewing. Refueling. The first time I had, the problem was right after refueling.

I was thinking misfire but really only happened when vehicle was fueled. This video helps to confirm why I doubted a misfire since it only occurred on start up after fueling.

just want to say STOP TOPPING OFF. If you fill more than when the pump clicks at the gas station it can full fuel through this vent system and cause these valves to stop working. Also at least on mine the valve just seized. if your ballin on a budget you could attempt to free it up

I have a 2019 vw jetta. It has an auto start stop error, emergency parking brake failure, sluggish when driving, it will suspend the engine & only decrease in speed resulting in me having to pull over & stop the car, turn it off & turn it on again. I feel like this could be the problem. I changed my breaks, spark plugs, cleaned my throttle body, charged my battery, got a new battery before that & nothing has stopped this problem.

Will be replacing mine on Friday. long starts after refueling, some rough idling once in a great while, like 2 times a year it shuts off at a stop light (recall a few years ago said purge valve causes it but i never got it fixed). Engine code came on the other day. Noticed a decrease in gas milage but not sure if that is due to the winter blend of gas, the new mud tires on the truck or the purge valve.

My truck doesn't have a code but it has a rough idle and hard start after a while like when I load up and leave the jobsite. Could it be this valve?

I’m getting my car back tomorrow, all I know is they changed my purge solenoid and I have these symptoms. Specifically the poor engine performance— I thought it was the transmission bc I didn’t think anything else would cause the symptoms I had plus my fluid was really low, but now it makes sense. Feels like it’s having issues switching gears & like my car had a parachute attached at the back lol if I took my foot off the gas it lost power and wouldn’t go above 60. Engine light came on twice, 7EA/7E8 code and P0455 code. I don’t have trouble starting the car, but when it was super cold it struggled a couple times. Guess I’ll see tomorrow but I’ll take a wild guess and say mine was stuck closed lol. Never had issues starting the car after I got gas. Chevy 2009 cobalt ❤

I am from Poland and I have a 2018 Ford Escape 2.0 Ecoboost.

For a few days now, I have been getting the P1450 error. When I clear it, it reappears after a while, after driving about 0.5 km or more. Now i drive 40km the error did not appear


Can you help me identify the problem?



Will I also have a valve that needs replacing? Or do I have a problem somewhere else? I can send you videos of the tests I have performed.

Does pressure release/hissing sound while opening the fuel cap while refueling be a a symptom too? And while refueling, the pump shuts off within couple of seconds.
