If anyone asks me which team I support, my response is that I follow, not support, West Ham, mainly because my late father lived in the east end of London when he first moved to England from Ireland, and became a fan. Since then, he moved to Essex, where he lived for the rest of his life.
Don't let anyone tell you that everyone who lives in the home counties loves the royal family. I despise them, and know plenty of people who feel likewise.
