Liverpool fans boo God Save the King on coronation day

Fans at Anfield booed the national anthem before the Premier League match against Brentford on the day of King Charles's coronation.

A number of clubs announced they would be playing God Save the King before kick-off after the Premier League suggested all clubs do so to mark the occasion. Liverpool fans have a history of booing the anthem, most recently at the 2022 FA Cup final.
