I hate the whole "I don't want no trouble grab" I've never seen anyone grab someone by the collars and stand in front of them except movies

Lots of dummies here complaining that it wasn't done at full speed. That's because he needs to go slowly so his students can see what's going on. If you do judo you'll understand this. In a real situation this move needs to be explosive.
That's why you must TRAIN, not just watch videos. Good that he acknowledged that a classic throw like koshi guruma or o-goshi might not work depending on the dynamics. This is why you need a repetoire of throws you've trained so you can decide in a a split-second which one to use, depending on your attacker's weight, body position etc. You have to do randori (free combat) in your training to get a feel for this, not just take a video in isolation and complain about it. It's a good demo, a variation of osoto gari, which works well if you take their balance first and are explosive with it.

It’s a good lesson about angles and lines.

I teach this myself. I would like to point out the dangers though of not kicking up that back leg. If you look closely the opponents foot stuck to floor for a split second. I have seen people's knees get pretty messed up from not helping partner out and overemphasizing backward leg kick to get that foot off of the ground.

For the streets f the guy and his knee, you can actually put slight backward pressure into the knee to help possibly break it. But for training we've got to look out for each other. I hope everyone learning or teaching this keeps that in mind.

Nice instructing and demonstration in Judah Street style

Great way to avoid his suplex counter! That angle is golden for a street hip toss.

This is one of the better demonstrations I’ve seen. Also thank you for showing technique against a larger opponent

Great throw that gives an alternative to hip throw from that position. Make no mistake, done at full speed on a hard surface, these throw will put someone down for a time.
My only issue with this type of move as 'self defence' is no striking is taken into account.
Either in dealing with the opponent striking or (from the set up here) using your own strikes to set him up for your throw. Going straight from his double lapel grab into your throw defence without your own strikes to set it up is a big mistake in these grapple only arts IMO. For real situation i shay's feel you must learn to integrate strikes and grappling fully to be most successful.

The best technic to do in the event that the father is heavy that you remain in that position would be the kouchi gari and ouchi gari or you must do a soutemi like Yoko wakare

You can just swing thought the motion and fall with so you instantly can get him in a gyaku kesa gatame and it’s very effective

Your opponent isn't gonna stand there while you 2 step around them.

For self defense; all hip type throws should be avoided. You are deliberately giving someone your back and hoping they don't know how easy it is to counter. Direct reaps, sweeps and takedowns can allow you to bail out without putting yourself in danger. 4th degree Japanese Jujitsu.

It is even more risky, the moment you step he can take you down. Do yousee that you are off balance already ?
